DEPo Audit Trail and Impersonate Feature alert

Overview​

The Audit Trail provides a comprehensive record of all changes made within the Dreams DEPo. It automatically records all create, update, and delete operations, who made those changes, when they were made, and what specific modifications occurred across various system components. This creates a history of changes that can be reviewed for compliance, troubleshooting, and accountability purposes.

What Gets Audited​

Partner Settings​

All changes to partner configuration settings are tracked.

  • Partner Settings
  • SAML Configuration
  • Google SSO Configuration

Translations​

All modifications and publication statuses are recorded.

DEPo Users​

User management activities are tracked:

  • User account creation
  • Permission changes
  • Account deletion and restoration

Savehacks​

All Savehack-related modifications.

Message Engines​

All Message Engine-related modifications.

Dream Inspirations​

All Dream Inspiration-related modifications.

Features​

Turning a feature on, turning a feature off.

Audit Information Displayed​

Timestamp​

Example: 2024-01-15 14:30:25 UTC

The exact date and time when the change occurred, displayed (in this case) in UTC. The timezone information reflects the Timezone set in Partner settings.

User​

Example: John Smith, System

The user who made the change. Shows "System" for automated processes.

Action Type​

Examples: Created, Updated, Deleted, Restored, Turned on, Turned off

The type of operation performed:

  • Created: New record was added
  • Updated: Existing record was modified
  • Deleted: Record was removed
  • Restored: Previously deleted record was restored
  • Turned on: A feature has been turned on
  • Turned off: A feature has been turned off

Record Type​

Examples: Partner Settings, DEPo User, Translation, Savehack

The category of the record that was changed, making it easy to filter and search for specific types of changes.

Record Details​

Examples: Partner Settings (Partner), DEPo User john.smith@company.com

A human-readable description of the specific record that was modified, including relevant identifiers.

Changes Table​

Example: Field | From | To Name | ACME Bank | ACME Bank Corp.

For update operations, shows exactly what fields changed:

  • Changed Field: The specific attribute that was modified
  • From: The previous value
  • To: The new value

Date Range Filter​

Example: From: 2024-01-01, To: 2024-01-31

Filter audit entries by date range to focus on specific time periods.

User Filter​

Example: All Users, System, Specific User

Filter by the user who made the changes:

  • All Users: Shows changes from all users
  • System: Shows only automated system changes
  • Specific User: Shows changes made by a particular user

Type Filter​

Examples: All, Partner Settings, Translations, DEPo User

Filter by the type of record that was changed:

  • All: Shows all audit entries
  • Specific Types: Other record types as available

Alerting Email for Impersonate Feature​

For the Impersonation feature, the system automatically sends an alert email when the feature is turned on or off. The alerting email attribute (the email address to which this alert is sent) cannot be set within Doconomy DEPo for security reasons. This email address is set by Doconomy Engineering support and can be seen, but not adjusted in the Partner Settings tab within Doconomy DEPo.

Access Control​

Audit Trail access is restricted to Partner Admin and Dream Admin roles.
